The health department now has resources for children, youth, and adults to access free counseling services residing in Las Animas and Huerfano Counties.
- Counseling services are remote via telehealth
- Up to 10 free sessions with a licensed professional
- Spanish-speaking and agricultural worker-friendly counselors
- Access services from home or from a private space at the health department
- Tablets and hotspots available for check-out

About the LAH Mental Health Program
The Las Animas-Huerfano Counties District Health Department received funding through the Colorado Trust: Community Resilience Initiative to launch a mental telehealth program serving residents of the bi-county region. This program aims to increase and improve access to quality mental health care for youth and adults living in Las Animas and Huerfano counties.
